Aldi’s Valentine survey* reveals that Jamie Dornan scores highest on ‘getting a shift’ poll

Speaking of a romantic bunch, it seems that romantic Ireland is very much alive and well! A survey conducted by Aldi* found that a whopping 81% of respondents expect their other half to mark Valentine’s Day in some way. Results also showed that 42% say they expect to receive a card, while 25% are anticipating a romantic home-cooked meal and 17% are planning a meal out. Just 19% said that Valentine’s Day wasn’t their thing.
Meanwhile the average couple is expected to spend €47 on gifts and treats for each other this Valentine’s Day. Dublin couples are the most generous with their spend estimated to be in the region of €54 per couple.
