An incredible 32 new wines arriving in ALDI stores this month with great value price points starting at just €7.69!

As we all prepare to swap summer nights out for cosy nights in, ALDI, recently awarded Drinks Retailer of the Year at the Irish Quality Food and Drinks Awards 2023, is delighted to unveil its brand-new autumn/winter wine range for 2023!

This year’s collection is as eclectic and diverse as ever, with 32 wines hailing from France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, South Africa, Argentina, Chile and more. It includes old stalwarts and returning favourites from previous years as well as brand new additions that are destined to become classics. From rich reds and elegant whites to refreshing rosés plus festive sparkling wines, there are plenty of autumn-friendly sips for customers to discover and savour this autumn/winter season. 

Whether you’re enjoying a quiet night on the couch, hosting a get-together, or celebrating a special occasion, you are certain to find the perfect tipple in ALDI this autumn. Best of all, prices start from just €7.69, meaning ALDI customers can enjoy exceptional wine without feeling the pinch! 

Reds

Reaching for a glass of red? At ALDI, you will find a sensational selection of red wines from all over the world, tailor-made for winter nights in. Among the highlights of this year’s range are the Castellore Nero di Troia €7.99, a vibrant but balanced red from the vineyards of Puglia, as well as the unique Specially Selected Vinsobres €10.99,a French red bursting with rich black fruit and dark chocolate flavours. 

Elsewhere, there is an abundance of red wines, both old and new, to try. Fans of French wine will love the Pierre Jaurant French Fitou €9.49,a full-bodied number with fruity, herbal notes, while ALDI is pleased to also welcome the Médoc Bordeaux €11.99 back to its shelves which makes the perfect dinner party centre piece. Time and time again, this sophisticated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot has proved a hit among ALDI customers. If you haven’t tried it, what are you waiting for? 

Treat your palate to a host of Italian reds including the Specially Selected Chianti Riserva €10.99,a bold, full-bodied wine with violet, red berry and spiced notes, and the warming, elegant Specially Selected Toscana Rosso €10.99. 

Other exciting new additions to discover include Specially Selected Argentinian Bonarda €9.99, a lighter alternative to Argentinian Malbec, and Specially Selected Ribera del Duero €11.99, a balanced, medium-bodied red from Spain. 

Whites

Of course, red wine isn’t the only show in town this winter! ALDI is also home to a dazzling range of white wines from across the globe. One of this year’s standouts is the elegant and enjoyable Specially Selected French Marsanne €8.99. Originating from the south of France, this is one to pair with a seafood dish or even a comforting roast chicken! 

Additionally, ALDI is proud to welcome a number of new varieties from Chile including Guerra del Vino Chilean Pinot Grigio €7.99 and Guerra del Vino Chilean Viognier €7.99, both of which are incredibly tasty, affordable options and ideal for those Chile winter evenings! 

There are a number of other brand-new white wines to keep an eye out for in store. Sit back and relax with a wonderfully crisp glass of Specially Selected Austrian Riesling €9.99.Pour favor! Savour a taste of Spain with the Specially Selected Rioja Blanco €9.99. Settle in with the delicate, seductive Specially Selected Côtes de Provence Blanc €12.99. 

Rosé & Sparkling 

Summer may be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy a cold glass of rosé. Enjoy a taste of down under with Specially Selected Clare Valley Rosé €8.99 or instantly transport yourself to sunnier climates with a glass of delightful Specially Selected Bordeaux Rosé €9.99 – the perfect choice for a catch-up with friends! 

If celebrations are in order, ALDI has you sorted for premium sparkling wines that are bubbling with character. Returning to shelves this year is the ever popular Specially Selected Crémant du Jura €17.99.This enduring classic is a firm favourite among ALDI customers and with good reason – it’s a delicious and affordable alternative to champagne that ticks all the boxes, no matter the occasion. 

For something with added wow factor, pop the cork and enjoy a glass of Nicolas de Montbart Champagne €24.99. This traditional champagne is the perfect winter treat – you won’t find great value bubbles like this anywhere else! 

If you’re unsure which bottle to opt for, ALDI Brand Ambassador and wine expert Tom Doorley has highlighted the Specially Selected Crémant du Jura, Specially Selected French Marsanne and Specially Selected Ribera del Duero as his three standouts from ALDI’s autumn winter range.
