“Turkey is an amazing meat that is lean and high in protein, so this is amazing if you are watching your diet. Lean meats contain less saturated fats, so overall they are better for your health and in general have fewer calories! So the option that I would pick would be a turkey crown and remove the skin to save on the calories!”

Trisha’s Top Tips for Cooked Meat:

“My tip for reheating would be to do it slowly and thoroughly. I place my ham on a tray and I would drizzle it in honey and cloves and, again, I would place a cup of water in the tray to create steam. In the oven at 160°C, slowly bring the ham up to the core temperature of 70°C and then increase the oven temperature to 220°C for 10 minutes to add colour and caramelise my honey.”

Trisha’s recipe for Sticky Roasted Root Vegetables!

Ingredients:

4 Nature’s Pick Carrots

3 Nature’s Pick Parsnips

6 fresh A Hint of Thyme Sprigs

45g Grandessa Honey

6 Stonemill Cloves

40ml Solesta Olive Oil

Method:

  1. Chop your carrots and parsnips into batons and parboil for 10 minutes.
  2. In a tray, place your vegetables and rub in olive oil, thyme, cloves and honey.
  3. Place in a pre-heated oven at 180 Celsius and bake for 20 minutes until caramelised and golden!
