IRISH FOOD SUPPLIERS ANNOUNCED AS THE STARS OF ALDI’S NEW ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

Irish producers from across the country are set to hit television screens after being chosen to star in Aldi’s new multi-platform advertising campaign.

O’Shea’s Farm in Kilkenny, Coughlan’s Bakery of Kildare, Morgan’s Fine Fish of Louth, and John Pringle from Wicklow have been chosen as the faces of Aldi’s new “Everyday Irish, Everyday Amazing” nationwide campaign, which highlights Aldi’s strong commitment to local sourcing and their longstanding partnerships with Irish farmers and producers.

Each of the suppliers featured within the advertisement focus on quality, Irish produce, and responsible production – aligning with Aldi’s pledge to be “Better Everyday”, by promoting a Greener, Fairer and Healthier world.

O’Shea’s Farm – Kilkenny

Located in Kilkenny, O’Shea’s are a fourth-Generation family business who supply fresh fruit and vegetables to Aldi stores across the country. O’Shea’s have recently invested in solar power and continuously implement farming practices that are responsible to the environment.

O’Shea’s are the producers behind Aldi’s Nature’s Pick Carrots – a popular customer choice available from just €0.59 and Aldi’s Irish Rooster Potatoes 1kg for just €1.59.

Coughlan’s Bakery – Kildare

Founded in 1988 by Brendan & Yolanda Coghlan, Coughlan’s remain a proudly family-run business to this day. The bakery started out as a single retail outlet in Dublin City centre, yet nowadays the business has firmly established themselves as “innovators” within the Irish baking industry. From humble beginnings, they have recently expanded their state-of-the-art plant in Co. Kildare, investing in top-of-the-range equipment to ensure the highest of standards.

Coughlan’s Bakery are the creators behind Aldi’s Specially Selected Cinnamon Buns – a true customer favourite available from €1.79!

Morgan’s Fine Fish – Louth

Located in Omeath, Co. Louth, Morgan’s Fine Fish supply Aldi with the very best in fish products. The business has evolved rapidly since their commencement in 1860, earning themselves an esteemed reputation for great quality and reliability. Nowadays, the business run a state-of-the-art processing plant, where freshness is their key focus, and the catch is processed as soon as it lands.

Morgan’s Fine Fish are one of the suppliers behind Aldi’s Skellig Bay Irish Hake Fillets – a true customer favourite available from just €2.99!

John Pringle – Wicklow

John Pringle runs a third-generation family-run business, tracing back to the 1930s. John runs a sheep and suckler-to-beef family farm in the Wicklow hills and implements practices which are responsible to the planet.

John is one of Aldi’s Bord Bia approved farmers whose succulent Irish lamb produces the highest quality lamb products including Aldi’s Specially Selected Slow Cooked Irish Lamb Shoulder 380g for €5.99.

We wanted to emphasise to our customers that we offer authentic Irish products, supplied by real local farmers and producers.” 

Aldi is committed to expanding its Irish supply base and increasing the number of Irish products available within its stores. Since 2018, Aldi has invested more than €3,000,000 in their Grow with Aldi supplier development programme, which offers emerging artisan Irish food and drink producers the chance to have their products featured in Aldi’s stores. 

Developed by McCann Manchester and Tiny Ark, and voiced by Oliver Callan, Aldi’s “Everyday Irish, Everyday Amazing” campaign will run from September 20th across TV, radio, press, social media, digital channels, and Aldi’s own weekly Specialbuys magazine.
