Aldi today announced it is rolling out new canopies across 21 of its stores around Ireland from December to shelter customers from adverse weather conditions during the Winter months. The new measure will ensure customers will remain protected and dry while maintaining a safe social distance should the need arise in the run up to Christmas.
Commenting on the initiative, Niall O’Connor, Aldi Group Managing Director said: “These new external canopies will keep shoppers dry and comfortable during the winter months and particularly in the run up to the busiest shopping days of the year”.
“Providing our customers with the best shopping experience possible while ensuring their safety and that of our staff is our number one priority. We have introduced several safety measures across our stores to keep everyone safe and I would like to thank our customers for their ongoing support and patience in adhering to them.”
