More price savings on hundreds of products

ALDI has today announced a new suite of price cuts across a range of popular products, as part of its commitment to offer unbeatable value to Irish customers. Prices have been reduced by up to 23% and will see the price of a typical trolley of the most popular goods reduced from €121 to €106.

Supporting Back to School
With children returning to school in January, shoppers are set to save on all the ingredients of a healthy packed lunch. Prices have been reduced on family favourites such as Crumbed Lean Ham, Sliced Chicken/Turkey, Tube It, Fromage Frais, Sandwich Thins and Kids Smoothies.

Kickstart January with ALDI
ALDI is also supporting New Year’s resolutions with price cuts across a range of healthy food items. Fitness fanatics can now save on much loved Protein Puddings and Mousses, Irish Lean Beef Burgers, Free Range Chicken Fillets, 0% Fat Greek Yoghurt and Gluten Free Kefir Protein Yogurt Pouches.

Christmas Trading
In one of ALDI’s busiest Christmas trading periods to date, customers snapped up over 8 million Brussels sprouts, 2.5 million mince pies and 320,000 bottles of champagne, sparkling wine and prosecco for Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Kevin the Carrot was back on our TV screens once again ahead of the festive season, with his chocolate factory themed antics a big hit with his loyal followers and new fans alike.

Commenting Colin Breslin, ALDI Managing Director of Buying and Services, said:
“At ALDI, we’re committed to offering unbeatable value to our customers and reducing prices whenever we can. I’m delighted today to announce new price cuts as we enter the New Year.

“We’ve cut prices across our range on the products that matter most to Irish shoppers – from back-to-school lunches and healthy eating options to core staples that go into the trolley each week. We know these price cuts will make a real difference to households right across the country.

“Our performance over the Christmas period demonstrates that shoppers not only appreciate our unbeatable prices but are drawn by the top-quality range of Irish products we have on offer.

“In 2024 we look forward to continuing to deliver the unbeatable value that we’ve been known for in Ireland for 25 years and would like to wish both new and existing shoppers a very happy New Year.”

ALDI supported local Irish charities by donating meals to those most in need during the Christmas period through its partnership with FoodCloud. The retailer paired up its stores with local charity organisations to make the most of unsold fresh and chilled food after stores closed on Christmas Eve.
