ALDI is set to sell more than 3.5 million chocolate eggs and 250,000 packs of hot cross buns in the run up to Easter weekend.

Hot cross buns and Easter eggs combined will see the retailer spend almost €4 million with Irish suppliers this Easter, while it will spend a further €300,000 on Irish Bord Bia Assured Easter lamb lines.

Ireland’s Most Reputable Supermarket* predicts it will sell more than 2,000kgs of its seasonal Irish Spring Half Leg of Lamb.

Opening Hours

Over the Easter weekend, ALDI Ireland’s 161 stores will be open until 10pm on Good Friday and Easter Saturday, in line with the retailers new extended opening hours across the country, which come into effect from today. These longer opening hours ensure everyone can pick up their last-minute Easter eggs, hot cross buns and Easter roast essentials.

As with previous years, stores are to remain closed on Easter Sunday, but will be open until 9pm on Easter Monday. Normal opening hours will resume on Tuesday 2nd April.

The new opening times of some stores may vary, so customers should check details on ALDI’s website before making the trip to their local ALDI.
