ALDI ADAMSTOWN NAMED DISCOUNT STORE OF THE YEAR

Dublin-based store awarded esteemed title at the National Grocery Retail Awards

ALDI’s Adamstown store has been awarded the title of Discount Store of the Year at the esteemed National Grocery Retail Awards in recognition of its outstanding customer service, commitment to excellence in the provision of high-quality food, and superior display.

ALDI received the award today at the National Grocery Retail Awards, hosted by Checkout. These awards reward excellence in Irish retail and recognise the companies and suppliers that help Ireland’s leading stores achieve levels of service and product excellence that set them apart from competitors.

Judges commended ALDI’s Dublin-based store for maintaining strong store standards since opening its doors in April this year. In particular, the judges noted the Adamstown store team has been working hard to provide an excellent shopping experience to customers, in addition to the appealing display across its fresh fruit and vegetable offering.

ALDI’s Adamstown store features the award-winning Project Fresh layout and design and is powered by 100% green electricity. The store boasts a large shop floor spanning 1366m², wide aisles and hi-spec fixtures and top-quality fittings. Parking is shared across the total development meaning ALDI shoppers can make use of over 400 car parking spaces and 45 electric vehicle charging spaces. ALDI continues to expand its store network with a total of 160 stores nationwide.

Celebrating the award win, ALDI Adamstown Store Manager, Dmitri Sakovits said: “The ALDI Adamstown team are very proud to be named Discount Store of the Year.
