Best Baby range for Mamia at Mums and Tots Awards
Today, 3rd November, Aldi announced its continued commitment to parents in Ireland by making available newborn nappies from its award winning Mamia range to maternity hospitals across the country, with The Rotunda Hospital being the first to avail of this offer. The aim is to roll out the initiative to all maternity hospitals in the country in 2021.
Over 61,000 babies were born in Ireland last year, so Aldi is stepping in to ensure that nappies are one less thing for new mothers to worry about whilst in hospital.
Sheila Thompson, Marketing Manager at Friends of the Rotunda Hospital said: “Often parents end up arriving at the hospital without the necessary provisions – and we are very happy to accept this generous donation from Aldi on behalf of the new mums that will be coming to the hospital over the next year”.
John Curtin, Group Buying Director at Aldi Ireland said: “We are delighted to be able to help new mums at this important stage. It is being said that 2021 will see a baby surge in Ireland across all 19 maternity hospitals, and we feel that we are ready to take on that challenge through our multi award-winning Mamia range of nappies. We recognise the importance of nappies on the shopping lists for new parents and with Mamia nappies now available on the Deliveroo app, we are giving new parents value as well as convenience.”
The award winning Mamia range is available in all 144 Aldi stores nationwide with Aldi being the most awarded retailer at the NPPA awards this year. The Mamia Newborn Nappies size 1 won Gold (Best Baby Newborn Essential) the Mamia Newborn Premium Nappies won Silver (Best Disposal Newborn Nappy). Other Mamia awards at the National Parenting Product Awards included; Gold for the Mamia Ultra Dry Air System nappies in the Best Disposable baby/Toddler Nappy category, Silver for Mamia Easy Pants and Gold for the Mamia Organic Baby Food range.
