ALDI Ireland today announced details of its continued significant contribution to Galway’s economy and the impact of its charity partnerships across the county. In its annual ALDI Economic Impact Report published today, the company said it paid €7.5 million in wages and salaries last year and opened two new stores in Tuam and Mountbellew.

30 new jobs to be created when store opens in summer 2025

ALDI Ireland today confirmed it will open a new €11M store in Kinsale, Co. Cork in summer 2025.

The news comes as ALDI was granted local authority planning permission from Cork County Council.  50 jobs will be created during the construction phase, with 30 permanent roles being created when the store opens.

ALDI BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF NEW €10 MILLION CARRIGALINE STORE

30 new permanent jobs to be created when store opens in 2024

ALDI has today begun construction of its new €10 million store in Carrigaline, Co. Cork, which is expected to be open for shoppers in 2024.

The store will be centrally located just off the new Carrigaline Western Relief Road, which opened last year.

The construction of the Carrigaline store follows ALDI’s pledge to invest €320 million in store expansion over the period 2022-2024, building on the €1.6 billion which the retailer has already invested in Ireland.
