ALDI VOTED MOST REPUTABLE SUPERMARKET IN IRELAND

Irish shoppers have voted ALDI as the most reputable supermarket in Ireland according to the new 2023 RepTrak Ireland Report, published yesterday.

The annual RepTrak Ireland survey measures the level of trust, respect, admiration and esteem consumers have for Ireland’s largest and most visible companies. The findings announced today are from a comprehensive survey of more than 5,500 members of the public during January and February 2023.  ALDI scored consistently well across key categories including Workplace, Citizenship and Products and Services, which reflect the retailer’s commitment to delivering value for customers, suppliers, staff and the wider community.

Commenting on the achievement, Niall O’Connor, Group Managing Director, ALDI Ireland said: “Irish shoppers voting ALDI as the most reputable supermarket is a testament to the dedication of our amazing store teams, suppliers and business partners, all of whom have worked tirelessly to provide the best customer experience for ALDI shoppers.

“While the past 12 months have brought challenges for us all, there has been a number of noteworthy achievements, of which we, as a business, are extremely proud. For example, by continuing our work with our charity partners, Barnardos and FoodCloud, we’ve been able to aid their work in helping the most vulnerable members of society as well as provide continued support to causes that are close to the hearts of our customers.

“It goes without saying that this past year has shown how important it is for us as a sector to deliver value for customers. At ALDI, we remain as committed as ever to doing so. We will continue to listen to our customers and bring them the products they love at the lowest prices.”

The win comes as welcome news to ALDI, who was also voted Ireland’s Best Supporter of Local Suppliers at the 2022 National Grocery Retail Awards. ALDI began working with 15 new suppliers in 2022, spending a total of €1.1 billion with its 330-strong Irish supply base last year.
